Today, so many nations, ngo’s and other organizations are striving to help financially weak nations and people affected by wars, natural disasters, religious oppressions and hunger. They provide basic needs and social services to those in need and try to eliminate poverty. Despite all these efforts, the truth simply stated is this: it’s not enough. Places suffering from extreme poverty and hunger still exist all over the world – in frightening abundance.

As always, one of the major victims are the children. Although the world economy is developing faster than ever, unequal income distribution causes extreme poverty which deprives the children of their rights to education and sometimes even exposes them to child labour. Resultantly, poverty is handed down from generation to generation. This phenomenon doesn’t show any sign of improving in the near future, on the contrary it is worsening still.

Countless students are denied of their rights to education due to difficult financial positions of their parents and lack of support from the society and the nation at large. In the eyes of AIO, it’s a pity that the potentials of these children are untested and go wasted, along with their dreams and hopes.

We must become the supporters of these children and enable them to make their hopes and visions come true, using their natural skills and talents to the fullest. Support should be given in whatever way possible to help them grow into competent individuals at famliy and community levels.

Until now, AIO has been actively operating at Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam in Tanzania based on basic ethical values such as community spirit, cooperation, solidarity, diversity and respect for human dignity.  AIO has been providing diverse education to the children and the teenagers and carrying out community development and support projects, all with the goodwill of sponsors all over the world. By intensifying the up-to-now activities, AIO aims at improving the lives of the secluded people of this place.

AIO promises to give hope and courage to the children hindered by poverty and help them accomplish their dreams by providing various curriculumn and supports, without being biased against race, gender, disability, believes and political ideologies.

Please hold the children’s hands. Be their friends.
